How to change the APN settings
To change APN settings on an Android phone:
- From the home screen, tap the Menu button.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Mobile networks.
- Tap Access Point Names.
- Tap the Menu button.
- Tap New APN.
- Enter the necessary APN settings provided by your network provider.
- Tap the back button or the home button to save the changes.
To change APN settings on an iPhone:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Cellular or Mobile Data.
- Tap Cellular Data Options or Mobile Data Options.
- Tap Cellular Data Network or Mobile Data Network.
- Enter the necessary APN settings provided by your network provider.
- Tap the back button or the home button to save the changes.
APN settings for both these devices are the same. Generally, all Androids have the same APN settings. They are as follows:
- Settings
- Connections or network & internet
- Mobile Networks
- Network Operator: HOME needs to be their chosen operator (If automatic is chosen, please have them select manually)
- Preferred network mode/type: 4GLTE needs to be selected
- Access Point Names: Press add or +
- Name: PPWG Mobile
- APN: pwg
- MMSC: http://pwg.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
- Press the three dots in the top right-hand corner and select Save
- Enable APN on the Access Point Names main screen
- VoLTE calls: ensure it is enabled (should be listed in the mobile networks settings)
- Power cycle and reattempt
